Pirates workout ,Tryout dates
Due to the continued interest in our program the Pirates will be creating a wood bat league this fall. The purpose of the league is to development and train prospective players for placement on our 2009 Summer rosters. The Pirates are committed to at least one team in each of the following classes: 2012, 2011, 2010 and 2009. Depending on depth of the quality of the players trying out,and the development of more coaching resources It may be possible to add more teams for each class. More Pirate Commitments!
A big congratulations goes out to Zach Miller and CJ Rose as they complete the 2007-2008 recruitment season for the Pirates. Both of these young men, and their families, should proud of their continued dedication to the game. Both, Miller and Rose, were signed to continue their college playing days at JUCO powerhouse, John A. Logan. Now after a successful spring and summer, their plans have changed. Burris signs with SWIC!
Trey Burris, of Triad (IL) HS has chosen to further his education and continue his baseball career at Southwestern Illinois College. Southwestern is affiliated nationally with the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA). Southwestern also belongs to the Great Rivers Athletic Conference (GRAC). Travis Isaak signs with the Statesmen!
Travis Isaak of Carlyle, IL has commited to play baseball with the Lincoln Trail College Statesmen. The Statesmens have won the Great River Athletic Conference for the past 2 years. Lincoln Trial is located in Robinson, Illinois, 40 minutes west of Terre Haute, IN.
